Moonlight sonata
Something I fail to understand.
I don’t see how someone can demand a present that he or she is certain to like. Isn’t it my prerogative as gift-giver to find something I hope the receiver will like? Isn’t it rude for the receiver to say, in all dubiousness, “Huh. Are you sure I’ll like whatever it is you want to give me? Why not I just tell you what I want, and you buy that.”
I didn’t even know what to say. I just felt it was really rude.
Takes all the joy out of gift-giving.
This morning’s carol service was lovely. I love, love, love Christmas for all the cheer and joy and love and songs and the meaning to my Christian beliefs. The reason for the season is Jesus’ birth, Amen! Sang all my favorite songs - ‘O Holy Night’, ‘O Come O Come Immanuel’ - and some songs I didn’t know but which have lovely melodies. Aaah. Christmas. Can’t you smell the happiness in the air?
Spent a lovely evening with Ah Fu! Got Pea her birthday pressie. Enjoyed good conversation and good shopping.
