Awakening
You know that wretched feeling where you know you’ve given everything up for lost? Where you want to cry but you feel so empty and hollow inside that your eyes are red and dry; and your heart keeps beating that sickening thudding beat and just won’t stop? Where you can do nothing but wring your hands and feel that terrible sinking in your stomach, that heartache, knowing that things are completely out of control? Where all you can do is stand and watch things hurtle downhill. And you can’t do anything, not anything at all.
Yeah.
