Sketches

“Is this what you want?  Is this what you need?” she whispered, and her voice was a silken thread, a tangled web, slip-smooth in his ear.
“Yes,” he said.  He tilted his head back, welcomed it.  Luxuriating.  Yes.
Yes.
He smiled with eyes closed.  She smiled back, velvet and white and Cheshire-sweet; then her voice curled into his [...]

Labyrinth

One of the more beautiful wedding toasts I’ve ever heard.  Poignant, realistic, and sad.
“Dana, Tonya.  I lift my glass to caring, kindness and trust, and longevity, and respect.  To all of the things you’ll need to keep your love alive.  I wish you happiness.  I hope that you forever spare each other pain.  And if [...]

Then one day something happens, or someone [...]

Look

It’s raining.

Can’t move on, but I can’t go home
and I’m not so strong, but I’ll make my way
to the place I know inside my heart
where I used to go to get brave
and I don’t want to be lost anymore
Gotta find my, gotta find my
Gotta find my way back home
I don’t know where I go - but [...]
