Politickal blogging
April 13th, 2006 by jadeite
I read MM*Lee’s dialog session in the papers today.
Since I am not registered with the appropriate authorities, I am not allowed to blog about it.
So you may insert your own words in the blanks.
After reading the report, I feel MM*Lee really [________] and I wish that P*AP would [_______]. Even though I think [__________], I still feel that [_____________]. The panel had a lot of [_________] but MM*Lee [___________] and that was [________].
Why does [___________]? It’s [_______] and when they [________] it just shows that [________]. It [_________] me and I just think [_________].
Maybe one day [________] and we can [____________].
That’s all I have to say about that.
i love fill-in-the-blanks.
If that is all that you feel about it, then as Mr Lee suggested, I feel a little sad for the young generation.
…I don’t want to get arrested for blogging about it when the authorities have expressly banned political blogging. I do have something to say, and I have been saying it - but my blog is not the place to air my views, because I will not blatantly flout the law.
I suppose it has escaped you that I’m trying to uphold the letter of the law yet still address the issue by writing a pointed and satirical post, but either 1) I have not been clever enough in doing it or 2) you are not clever enough to discern it.
Either way, please note that any direct comments made about Singapore politics or politicians will not be published as I don’t want to be slapped with any sort of fine/reprimand/jail sentence/public caning.
:)
Fine? Reprimand? Jail sentence? Public caning? Aren’t you being a “purveyor of lies” if you’re claiming that you’re in the risk of the aforementioned punishment if backboneless people choose to air their comments about Singapore politics or politicians in your blog instead of their own? :>
Talking about backboneless…bleah…now I have to follow up with an article in my own blog after this. :(
You calling me a liar when I decided you were right?
Okay loh.
riiiiiiight. so witty.
That’s an “Okay loh” that plunges the room temperature. Heh. Am I not too sensitive! *grin* Btw, there is nowhere in my post when I used the word ‘liar’.
Do correct me if I’m wrong or outdated, but Senior Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts Dr. Balaji once stated “individual bloggers can discuss politics, but have to register with the Media Development Agency if they persistently promote political views.”
I think the keyword should be on ‘persistently’. Unless you’re planning to start a series of political-themed articles that eclipse in quantity your existing (other) topics, then you have no need to register.
how come i’m the only one who understood the witty satire? gee.
*me loves hucks*
:D
And a_x aiyoh i was just trying to make a point gee ok next time no mention of politics! anywhere! except to hucks! :/
and nono no chill, just rolling eyes :D
Ahhh. The chilling effect of the lack of freedom of speech. :/ (haha, pun)
‘Persistently’ or not, the ‘out-of-bounds’ markers are not clearly defined. So you don’t really know when you’ll get into trouble until you actually do.
haha maybe someone should write into the forum and ask. if it gets published, sure got reply the next day..
please read today’s today, page 2. wahaha
omg! get thrown into jail? haha. the poll is done by ntu kids rite? i saw a src officer’s name. :/
