1. I’m addicted to manicures.

2. Once when I was in primary school, I was washing dishes at the sink when my mother reached up to the cupboard to take the chopper down. It slipped from her hand and thunked down on my head hard. I went, “Ow!” Then I looked down and realized that it was the chopper that hit my head, and my mother nearly cried from hysterical relief that it had hit me blunt side down.

3. I also have a piece of pencil lead in my head after my brother stabbed me with a pencil when I was a baby. The doctor said it was too risky to try and remove it so they left it to dissolve hopefully harmlessly.

4. Adding to my head trauma I have seven stitches in my forehead after the windshield shattered onto me during a car accident when I was six.

5. I’m a hypocrite, a liar and a cheat. But who isn’t?

6. I still think of you every single damn day, and the memories of us make me smile and want to cry in the same breath.

7. I hate cheating men, but it gives me a wicked sense of satisfaction if I catch a stranger’s boyfriend checking me out.

8. I’d gladly spend an evening at Pennyblack drinking cider and watching a massive Liverpool match, even if I go alone. Because when you’re a Liverpool fan…you’ll never walk alone. :D

9. I’m a ghost-writer for something you’ll never know is my work.

12. For the first time in my life, I’m considering being single all my life, because I can’t imagine a married future without you in it.

13. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor, but decided it was too typical. Then I wanted to be a nurse, but my mother said nurses have to wash old men’s backsides. So I finally decided I wanted to be a veterinarian, but then I failed combined science in secondary school. I finally dropped combined science and my childhood dream.

14. I’m a jane of all trades and master of none, and I wish I were really good at one thing instead of being mediocre at everything.

15. I keep telling them I’m too busy to join them, but actually it’s because I feel so inadequate next to them that I don’t want to waste their time with my lack of talent.

16. I only consider three of my relationships as having been serious ones.

17. Just thinking about That Fag pisses me off.

18. When I was in kindergarten I thought nothing of repeatedly kissing the boy I liked on the cheek, and I didn’t realize it made him uncomfortable until my teacher told me off.

19. I still remember the boy’s name: Shaun Qiu. If anyone knows who he is let me know :P I thought he was really cute when he was five years old. I wonder if he’s still cute now.

20. My father recently revealed that my mother had actually kept my JC uniform for me until after I got my results, because she honestly thought I would fail my A levels and have to repeat JC.

21. I did very well for A levels in the end. My cousin now wears my old uniforms to SAJC (though I kept a set for nostalgia’s sake).

22. I keep my expectations of him way down low so that I won’t be so easily disappointed by him, but somehow he still manages to fall short - and yet I forgive him time and time again.

23. My first on-the-lips kiss was given away to a gay friend at a Truth or Dare game (kissing my parents don’t count).

24. I believe everyone is some degree of bisexual.
