Life is a cabaret, old chum.

We went to watch…CABARET!
Willkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome!!

FEI XIANG! *squeal*
EMMA YONG! *whoop*
Both of whom stole the show. Which was extremely, er, hot, to say the least.
Cabaret girls. Eight of them. Their costumes included an S&M dominatrix, a sailor girl, a Texas cowgirl, a Lolita, an Asian bunnygirl, and a girl in a leopard-skin butt-less catsuit. And the boys! Two of them in leotards and tutus, one in a butt-less pair of overalls.
Was also rather delighted to see my first onstage guy-guy kiss in Singapore. :)
Fei Xiang as the Emcee was simply amazing. He’s magnetic and dynamic and brilliant on stage. Emma Yong as Sally Bowles blew me away too, with her great singing and punchy line delivery. Vaaaairy nice.
Still somehow I felt something was lacking from the musical, like a can of Coke gone flat. It just didn’t have that punch, that verve that would have made it a real success. Can’t put my finger on what it is though.
Oh well, I shan’t complain. We had fabulous stall seats, row M - they cost $130 each and they were given to us as a gift, so it was all really fantastic. I was *this* close to Fei Xiang!!
:D
I am such an aunty.
i’m freaking jealous! sigh. i wanna watch too!
