Hospital

SGH actually provides shelter from the MRT station to every single part of the hospital.  I walked from Outram MRT all the way to Block 5 to see Grandpa without once having to take out my umbrella.  I was most impressed.
Anyway, I’m glad Onn went with me.  You should have seen Grandpa’s eyes light up [...]

The best thing about tomorrow

I am sunburnt ow.
Another softball match tomorrow.  Can’t wait.  I just realized how much I’m going to miss my two inter-hall games - softball and Scrabble.  At least I’ll still have Scrabble outside; but softball?  I think can say byebye after I graduate, which is really depressing.
Maybe if we all get our own gloves we [...]

Scrabble stats: Yew Tee Tournament

Sacrificed my precious Sunday rest in a last-minute bid to push my rating up past 1600 in the year 2006 but failed. My rating dropped by four points instead, to 1565. Still I don’t feel very bad about it because this was my virgin rated attempt at playing in A division; and despite [...]

The bob

“Why do you want to cut your hair like this?” my hairdresser enquires as he snips around my ear delicately.
I squint at myself in the mirror. One of the drawbacks of wearing glasses is that you can never tell what the hairdresser is doing to your hair until you put them back on, by [...]

On death

I’m completely numb, and I don’t know why.
I can’t grasp the concept of having only a year - or months, or even days - left to live. I look at him and the display of weakness, frailty and old age leaves me feeling vaguely sickened. But a part of me can’t come to [...]

Oh my

Dearie me. Shiloh Nouvel Pitt is extraordinarily, supremely, way-too-freaking cute. Look at those clear sweet eyes and her spiky little baby eyelashes! Look at her Jolie-esque little baby pout of a mouth! Don’t you just want to pinch those adorable little baby cheeks and nuzzle her tiny little button baby nose?
Looking [...]

Softball sadness

Played our first softball game of the season today against Hall 15.  Was all psyched up and hoping to win this one but unfortch it wasn’t to be.  We were trailing 3-0 at the last inning and managed to hold them at 3 points; hoped to gain another 3 to at least tie the game [...]

Broken!

Yesterday while trying to take a box of paper letters off the shelf, it slipped out of my hand and promptly fell on my face.  I now have a scratched and bruised cheekbone.  Went around mournfully for the rest of the afternoon muttering, “My face hurts”.
My spare phone died today.  I will be completely uncontactable [...]

Things that happened over the weekend:

Over the course of the tournament, N* and I consumed five packs of dope (orange tic tac), two and a half jumbo tubes of mini M&M’s, and a bar of coffeebean-laced 85% dark chocolate.
My phone died again. I am off to Nokia Care Center to chew them out.
I confirmed [...]
