Super nuah weekend

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

Spent my Saturday like this: a simple breakfast, reading newspapers, nuahing around all day, my favorite Korean bulgogi beef, watching the Liverpool match. Didn’t do anything much, really, but take time out just to relax and bask in happy.

It’s days like this that help me unwind after a tough, pain-filled week.

Feh.

Julian: Make sure you avoid smoky areas ok? You shouldn’t go to clubs or pubs for at least the next month.

Me: No problem. No smoke.

*one week and much smoke later*

Me: Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten my Lasik done just before seventh month Hungry Ghost Festival. :(

Travel plans!

Heading into JB to direct the annual Causeway Cup again at the end of November. I hate playing long overseas tourneys but still want a taste of the pie, so it’s perfect that Michael wants me to direct. It’s quite an honor to be tourney director actually because it’s such a big tourney :)

After that will be going to Bangkok from 13 - 18 Dec with Rachel, Johanna and Kaixin…wooo! I miss it so much. I actually get BKK withdrawal symptoms :/ Can’t wait to go. I want to shop and buy more $4 skinny jeans that fit perfectly. Heh.

Facebook is terribly, terribly addictive. Terribly. Stop me! From giving gifts and poking people and uploading tons and tons and tons of photos! And tagging photos! And looking at other people’s photos! And sneaking peeks at this one really cute guy :D And reading other people’s wall-to-wall conversations!! :o It’s Internet voyeurism in a deceptively mild form. We’re so obsessed with the bits and pieces of our own and other people’s lives.

I still can’t find Shaun Qiu anywhere - I actually wonder if he might have died. :/

Prayer

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Quiet happiness.
Dubious - just a little.
Once bitten twice shy, perhaps.
A catch? Somewhere?
Maybe - maybe not.
Smiles.
Love.
Joy.
Faith.
Hope.
Complete peace.
My hand in God’s - I trust You.
My burdens I give to You.
You take care of them.
I can’t.

The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.

All better now

Medication makes me happy.

My headache disappeared almost instantaneously yesterday after taking the meds and today I’m giddily happy that my eyesight has improved by leaps and bounds and that the pain in my head is virtually gone.

I walk around reading all the small print I can find and grinning my head off just because I can read them. Building signs. License plates. Cereal boxes and ingredients lists.

Whee :)

‘Closing In’ by Imogen Heap

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I can’t wait to be with you
No I just can’t sit still,
Are we there yet?
Takes me back, I remember
Such a magical place
It was all you

Closing in
I hope that we make it
Closing in
I hope that we find our way

Frame by frame, red speed ahead
A city dissolving,
The threat of our love in the headlights
Is it safe now?
Will your arms be open?
I just have to kiss you,
Try and stop me

Closing in
I hope that we make it
Closing in
I hope that we find our way
Closing in
It’s all that I want in the whole world
Closing in
Please be there, please be there

Latest song addictions:

‘Running Away’ by Midnight Hour (Ghost Whisperer OST)
‘Breathe Me’ by Sia (CSI Miami OST)
‘一人一半’ by Eric Ng (881 OST)

On MC today on account of my blinding headache. I feel like digging my eyeballs out with a blunt spoon.

On the other hand, I’m enjoying nuahing at home although since I can’t do much on the computer, or watch TV, or even read very much, I’m completely bored.

And you, I hope you get well soon too.
