Melaka in photos!
11.30pm: Beth watches ‘Jesus Camp’ with BS people
2.30am: Beth collapses into bed
6.00am: Beth’s alarm clock rings
6.01am: Beth hits the snooze button
6.20am: Beth rolls out of bed grudgingly
7.00am: Beth climbs into Sen’s car with kopi for the driver
Once we hit the highway things were pretty much smooth-going (except for the tiny accidental detour). I had the whole backseat to myself :P and we three entertained ourselves by rocking to the 881 soundtrack. Ah bengs and ah lians unite!

The person in the backseat demands a twist photo from the people in the front
Our first stop was dim sum - by this time it was almost 11am and I was absolutely starving, so I forgot to take photos. Hur. Second stop was laksa and cendol.

Sen meets and eats the laksa - Melaksa!

Next up was iced coffee and satay from a random coffeeshop.

Since Clarence had never been to Melaka we took a happy detour up to see the church of St. Paul’s (aka the church without a roof).

It’s basically an old church dedicated also to St. Francis Xavier…set on top of the highest hill in Melaka. And it’s pretty. Good view, too.

The view!

There was a Dutch market going on at the bottom of the hill, so there were lots of Heeren-esque cows all over the place.

We found fake Threadless tees in Melaka! *GASP* That’s me in a real Threadless pointing to the fake one on the rack.

No trip to Melaka is complete without a trip to Mahkota. Me and Beng, with Sen lingering in the background.

Me, my patented ratface, and Sen with his dunno-what face :P

Me and Clarence, who accidentally violated his endorsement agreement by unwittingly taking this unflattering photo outside Starbucks.

I scream, they scream, we all scream for Melaka mooncake. “CHEAP LEH! SO CHEAP!”

Sen cannot believe that an ah beng would park his bum in front of his car.

Ladies in the backseat of Beng’s car! Lai Hong, me and Jen.

Jen: Aaaah! Sky so pretty! Take picture take picture! Beth: *click*

Ferris wheel

We found the sunset just as it disappeared behind a copse of trees.

Slim, me and Beng before we dived into the pasar malam.

The pretty place where we had dinner - a lot of lovely Peranakan furniture inside.

Me and Valerie waiting for someone to serve us tea.

Hey hey, I’m not the only one who does the ‘twist’ thing.

Oh ho ho ho good food.

I quite like this shot, the way it’s framed. All of us exhausted from consuming large amounts of food.

Burp.
Can’t wait for the next foodie trip!
Dad: You hang out with them some more you sure gonna end up fat.
