Mon, 16 June 2008, 12:26 am by jadeiteFriday was the last day I had to go to uni for courses.
This is my last ever weekend as a student.
Actually, the weekend is over - it’s Monday now, and I have officially been seconded to my new workplace.
Will be reporting tomorrow at 9am, and then next Monday is my first day of real real work as a teacher.
I’ve put off working for quite awhile now, as my post-grad diploma in education took a year to complete.
But I can’t put it off any longer.
I’m grieving. I’m nervous and excited and afraid.
I miss being a student already.
Here’s to waking up at 6am every weekday for work.
Here’s to overtime and no overtime pay.
Here’s to students both hardworking and lazy, whether they’re academically inclined or not.
Here’s to heartbreak and joy, anger and happiness.
Here’s to marking English scripts all weekend long.
Here’s to the death of my social life.
I want to go back to uni and do my masters already!
