It’s been a week. I started out putting lotion on my fourth finger to get my e-ring on, then eventually gave up and started wearing it on my pinkie like I was Fiddy Cent – but it was getting sad and exhausting and we finally made the trip back down to the jeweler’s to get it altered up. The sweet boy had given the jeweler’s my US ring size rather than the European scale, and we’d ended up with a ring that was too small for my intended finger, the middle finger of my right hand. Although we (well, he) had to pay a fee for the alteration because we were altering up so many sizes (blush – I have fat, unladylike knuckles and big hands), trying on the actual ring size felt so rewarding. I can’t wait to get my ring back from the jeweler and really wear it! It sort of feels like I’d only borrowed the ring for a week.

We watched Fast and Furious 4 tonight. I have to say, I absolutely love the first movie, The Fast and The Furious, which I’ve watched maybe eight, nine times now! I get such a thrill from the high-octane races and chases and is it so wrong that I think Vin Diesel looks really good when he’s all broody and tormented and hungrily, deeply in love with his woman? Plus he’s a suave, one-handed driver – a quality he shares with my boy (I must admit, and try not to puke at the mush, but on our first date, I consciously registered how suave he looked at the wheel and I was hooked). FF2 wasn’t fantastic – I blame the lack of Vin Diesel – and FF3 simply does not exist for me, it was so bad. The return of the main characters and the continuation of the storyline from FF1 was fantastic – I was so stoked, I spent most of the movie grinning and squealing and whispering, “Dom! Brian! Letty! MIA!!!” at C. And the chases and races were fabulous. I don’t need too solid a plot – I simply require one tenuous enough to link the many chase scenes together. And man was I satisfied with this movie. Bliss!

Also, I’m now stuffed full – the biggest meal I had all day came from our guilty durian fest as we chowed down on D24 at our favorite stall after the movie.
