I was just wondering (and I hope you don’t mind if I ask) since you are getting married in a few months time, have you thought about contraception yet?
It’s a taboo subject amongst Singaporeans, and I’ve noticed a rather alarming number of “surprise” honeymoon babies over here, so…I just thought I would remind you. Feel free to ask me any questions you might not want to approach a doctor with.
Heh yes. I’ve been teased quite a few times about having an “accident” in the next year. But I’m much smarter than that (I hope). Have already seen my doctor for prescription on the Pill and am likely to go on Mercilon. Will be starting on the Pill this month when my period comes.
I’ve also consulted with Shyam – who is some bigshot pharmacist person at SGH – and she’s so far been my medicine person to go to. Thank you so much for offering and you know I’m going to be asking questions when I finally do have a baby (if I am so blessed) in…2011. Or maybe 2012. :P
And you’re not wrong about honeymoon babies. I know no less than 4 people who’ve had children within the first 11 months of the wedding.
Yeah, and they always say ‘I didn’t know it was so easy to get pregnant!’.
